Loft Conversion Quote operates loftconversion.org and provides a free online loft conversion estimating service for UK homeowners. You can contact us at hello@loftconversion.org for any privacy question or request.

Information we collect

When you use our quotation form we collect the answers you give about your property and project, together with your name, email address, telephone number, first line of address and postcode. We also record the estimate generated and the date of your enquiry.

We collect basic technical information such as your browser type and pages visited to keep the site secure and working correctly.

How we use your information

We use your details to generate and send your estimate, to contact you about your enquiry, and to arrange a free no-obligation survey with a loft conversion specialist covering your area. We may also use anonymised, aggregated data to improve our estimating model.

Lawful basis

We process your information on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the quotation form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and operating our service.

Sharing your information

We share your enquiry with a suitable loft conversion specialist so they can contact you about your survey and quotation. We also use trusted service providers for website hosting, database storage and email delivery, who process data on our instructions only.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months so we can respond to follow-up questions and meet our record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to request data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@loftconversion.org and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Your information is stored in access-controlled databases and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is limited to those who need it to operate the service.
